Hitachi Zosen Receives Order for Extension Work on EfW Plant in Changshu City, Jiangsu, China

Hitachi Zosen Corporation has received an order from Changshu Pufa No.2 Thermoelectric Energy Co., Ltd. for extension work on an Energy-from-Waste (EfW) plant in Changshu City, Jiangsu Province, China.

The project seeks to perform extension work on an existing EfW plant comprising three incinerators, each with a processing capacity of 300 tons per day, operated by Changshu Pufa 2 Thermoelectric Energy, a group company of Shanghai Pudong Environmental Protection Development Co.,Ltd
Hitachi Zosen is responsible for designing the incinerators—three stoker-type units, each with a processing capacity of 610 tons per day for a total of 1,830 tons per day—supplying key equipment such as fire grates, installing the extended portion on-site, dispatching supervisors during test runs, and providing guidance in operation and maintenance.
The completed extension will enable the hygienic incineration of some 1,830 tons of solid waste daily, and through the supply of an annual 273,550,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity, is expected to serve as a significant energy source for the area.
