Power Generator Systems

Hitachi Zosen Corporation supplies a wide range of power generator systems that run on gas turbines, gas engines and diesel engines designed to reduce energy consumption at office buildings and factories.
Although the power generator system can be configured as a standalone generator, it is ideally set up as a cogeneration system (where exhaust heat from the engine is used to make hot water or steam) or as a combined cycle system (where exhaust heat is used to produce additional power in a steam turbine).

Features

  • A gas turbine is most suited to customers who place great importance on the overall efficiency of operation and where heat is the main output and power is secondary.
  • For fuel, our gas turbines use city gas, natural gas, and kerosene. Certain equipment models are also designed to run on secondary (by-product) gases.
  • When demand for turbines changes significantly from turbines whose main output is heat and power secondary to those where these roles are reversed, we recommend the VHP6 heat and power variable system.
  • As our gas turbines are highly automated, operating them is easy.

Features

  • Gas engines are most suited tocustomers who place great importance on efficient power generation during operation in which power is the main output and heat is secondary.
  • Runs on both city gas and natural gas. MWM gas engine runs on LPG and biogases such as digestion gas.
  • Overall efficiency is increased by recovering jacket hot water in addition to steam.
  • As our gas engines use an ignition plug that does not need fuel to start up, they realize very high startup reliability and energy-saving operation.
  • As our gas engines are highly automated, operating them is easy.

Diesel engine generator systems

Features

  • Diesel engines are most suited to customers who place great importance on efficient power generation during operation in which power is the main output and heat is secondary.
  • For fuel, our diesel engines use vegetable oil and if conditions permit, low-quality oil in addition to A to C-type heavy oils.
  • Designed for continuous operation over wide load range (20% - 100% load for C fuel oil, 10% - 100% load for A fuel oil).
  • Ideal for applications requiring low load idle and sudden loads, with rapid startup and excellent tracking of load fluctuations.
  • Overall efficiency is increased by recovering jacket hot water in addition to steam.
  • As our diesel engines are highly automated, operating them is easy.

Emergency gas turbine power generation system

  • The emergency gas turbine power generation system is most suited to customers who place great importance on rapid power supply in an emergency.
  • As the system uses the same gas turbine as the one normally used in airplanes, rapid startup is possible.
  • Depending on the model of the gas turbine, a high load input is possible.
  • As the system uses an air starter for starting up, there is no need for an external power supply.
  • As the system uses a radiator, there is no need for cooling water.
  • Being packaged as a lightweight and compact generating system, the system is easy to install in a room.
  • As the generator is a rotating machine, there is almost no vibration.
  • As the system is highly automated, operating it is easy.
